Roxann Russell, DDS is a Native Texan who grew up in Alice, Texas. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Texas-Austin, where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Biology.

Dr. Roxanne Russell
She went on to earn her Doctorate of Dental Surgery Degree at The University of Texas Dental School in Houston, Texas. Her dental education included Trauma and Oral Surgery training at Ben Taub General Hospital and Anesthesia rotations at MD Anderson Hospital in the Houston Medical Center. Dr. Russell practiced General Dentistry in Houston for three years prior to completing her residency in Pediatric Dentistry at Howard University College of Dentistry in Washington, DC. Her intensive Pediatric Dentistry training included Preventative and Restorative Dentistry, Management of Dental Trauma, Oral Conscious Sedation and Hospital Dentistry for the pediatric patient at DC General Hospital. Additionally, Dr. Russell completed Clinical and Anesthesia training at Howard University Hospital, as well as, Management of the Medically Complex pediatric patient at The Hospital for Sick Children and Children’s National Medical Center.
Dr. Russell is a member of AAPD, TDA, ADA. She is certified in PALS, BLS. She holds active dental licenses in FL, TX, CA, and MO. Dr. Russell has practiced Pediatric Dentistry in the Kansas City area and Tampa/St. Petersburg areas. She is excited to be back in Texas to practice in the Austin area.
Dr. Russell believes that every patient is unique. She is committed to creating a positive patient and family experience. She strives to find an understanding of parents’ desires and patients’ needs. She works to educate her parents and patients on preventative measures, ultimately working towards caries-free visits. Dr. Russell is keenly interested in monitoring key trends in the development of minimally invasive procedures in the treatment of pediatric patients and how evolving technology will advance those procedural techniques.
Dr. Russell is the proud mom of Ally and Izzy. She is also a proud cat person sharing her home with Luna and Smokey, her beloved four-legged feline friends. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her girls, running, cooking, practicing yoga, and meditation. Dr. Russell is a foodie, enjoying enticing new cuisines and dining at new restaurants with friends. Dr. Russell also enjoys live music events reminiscent of early childhood musical performances, where she played French Horn with a nationally award winning Wind Ensemble.
